Sorry -

I've just worked out why i haven't been able to post for ages - technical difficulites sorted now on with the veggies! I won't bore you with everything that is doing well (smug smug woman!!!) I'll just list may failures.

1st lot of beetroot didn't do a great deal, raddishs have been munched on by flea beetle (but the raddish bit tastes GOOOOOOD) spring onions just hate me - its official. Parsnips - only got patchy germination, might just get enough for a couple of meal fulls. Carrots - well carrots like light sandy stone free soil so i am screwed.

Had to fight zach off the strawberry patch the other day and plan to do something with my brassicas on saturday, should prbably plant my runner beans and borlotti beans too! oh yeah - need to buy more canes and put them up before i can do that.

And i have a session at the shop coming up soon too!! whoo hoooooo

YAY! my tomatos are coming up!

Tuesday, 5 April 2011

Well all of the afore mentioned seeds have sprouted and are doing well, i have also sown some lettuce seeds too which are coming along very nicely. Thanks to nic nic for the Dill, and the two pepers, they are currently sitting on my windowsill. Tomoatoes have gone in too, cherry, beef and plum! woo hoo! On the plot i have sown some parsnip - lets home i get more than one for every rown and a half i sow like i did last year... - some carrots, some peas (thank you michelle for being the manual labour) Soem beetsroot, raddish, spring onions (red and whit types) and thats about it, have started to dig the bit under my apple tree, and have prepared a lettuce bed for when the seedlings are ready to plant out, and have some space put asside for a few cucumber plants (soemthing else sitting on my window sill waiting to germinate, two types, salad and gherkin type) so things are coming along very nicley so far - have designated an area for my brasicas, and i shall not be rotovating that bit (thank god) all i nee dot do lis level it off a bit, dig out the big perenial weeds and dust a bit of lime and growmore around!
